Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed the government to continue banking services in the affected areas.
The central bank issued a circular in view of the Rasuwa floods. The circular states that the central bank is working to resume banking services in the affected areas due to natural disasters.
The central bank has also said that necessary facilitation has been made to the banks and financial institutions to ensure the continuity of banking and payment services in the flood-affected areas and to operate services from alternative places including electronic means. In addition, the NRB has also urged the government to mobilize the necessary financial resources for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of those affected by natural disasters.
