Born in Jhapa in 2038 BS, Pradeep now lives in Butwal Sub-metropolis-11. He completed his studies from Jhapa to Plus Two. Pradeep’s family had to migrate from Jhapa to Biratnagar of Morang as his father was employed with Nepal Electricity Authority. At present, Pradeep’s family has been living in Butwal permanently.
Pradeep’s childhood was a normal one. When Pradeep was a child, there was a mill at home. The mill was taken care of by my mother. Pradeep also spent his childhood helping his mother. Pradeep has also studied AHEB and HA.
Pradeep is currently working as an agency manager at Citizen Life’s Butwal branch. Pradeep, on the other hand, devotes his time to insurance by hiring employees in his business. While in Biratnagar, Pradeep ran a grocery shop and studied in college. After completing his college studies, Pradeep had the intention to do something now and decided to go to Kathmandu. After coming to Kathmandu, Pradeep got a job in his own field or medical in Tripureshwor. He also started working. After that, Pradeep’s father also came to Kathmandu. Then my father decided to set up a spice mill in Kathmandu as well. Because everyone in Pradeep’s family knew about the spice mill. After that, Pradeep’s father opened a spice mill in Bagbazar, Kathmandu. He used to work in the medical field, helping his father in the mill in the morning and evening.
As time passed, Pradeep’s friend called and said, “There is work in India. What are you going to do?” Then Pradeep, who was wandering in search of a new opportunity, said, ‘Yes, I will come’. Pradeep also went to India and studied as an Operation Theatre Assistant. He also completed his studies. He spent 7 years working in India.
After a long stay in India, Pradeep had to return home due to household chores. After coming to Nepal, Pradeep got married. After that, he started a medical practice in Butwal. “I am very happy to be able to start a business in my own country and in the field I have studied,” he said. Now I also run a spice mill in Butwal. I have been interested in spice mills since I was a kid and was adopted by my parents. I have been running my business with employees. I have been emphasizing on insurance. ’

Pradeep, who is involved in the medical business, has been brought into the insurance by his wife Sumitra Chapagain. Sumitra is a Senior Agency Manager of Citizen Life. Pradeep did not like the profession of insurance agents. He was also telling Sumitra, ‘Quit this profession, don’t do it’. However, Sumitra did not put pressure on Pradeep to be in the same profession. Sumitra told Pradeep, “Working as an agent brings virtue. It’s a very good job to benefit yourself and the insured. It doesn’t matter what others say. This profession is very good because of the risk coverage of the insured as well as the future of the insured. ’
Hearing Sumitra’s words, Pradeep started working in 2075 BS by obtaining a license from Citizen Life. Even after 2-3 years of getting the license, Pradeep did not pay much attention. How do you tell others? He didn’t know how to do a profession that everyone considered to be a broker.
After that, with the inspiration of his wife Sumitra, Pradeep insured 2-3 people. And they continued to train. As he continued to train and get small insurance, he started feeling better. Initially, Pradeep, who was hesitant to get insurance, after getting 2-4 insurances, he said, “Hey, it can be done.” After paying the insurance, people are going to take insurance. Now I can do it.” Now Pradeep has been able to get very good insurance.
Pradeep said that the success was possible due to the support and inspiration of Regional Manager Durga Raj Thakal. He also said that he got a chance to learn a lot from Sunil Pokhrel and Bhim Prasad Subedi in the insurance sector. Pradeep’s idol is his wife Sumitra, who has shocked even people who don’t like insurance and brought them to this place today. Pradeep is happy that the profession he did not like in the beginning has given him more happiness than usual.
