Non-performing loans of commercial banks have increased, by whom? (with list)

Kathmandu. Non-performing loans (NPL) of commercial banks have increased further. The current fiscal year 2082 released by the banks. This is reflected in the financial statements of the second quarter of 83 months.

As of mid-January of the current fiscal year, the average non-performing loan of 20 commercial banks has increased to 5.08 percent. Last year, 2081. The average non-performing loan was 4.49 per cent during the same period of 1982.

Compared to the previous year, the non-performing loans of 12 commercial banks increased while eight decreased. In the review period, the non-performing loans of four banks increased from 7 percent to about 8 percent.

Everest Bank has the lowest non-performing loan. During the review period, the non-performing loan of the bank stood at 0.68 percent. In the same period of the previous year, the non-performing loan of the bank was 0.66 percent. The non-performing loans of the banks have increased slightly.

Standard Chartered Bank has the second lowest rung. The non-performing loan of the bank is 1.88 percent. In the previous year, the non-performing loan of the bank was 1.71 percent.

Similarly, Nepal SBI Bank has the third lowest non-performing loan (NPL) of 2.64 percent. In the previous year, the non-performing loan of the bank was 3.55 percent. The non-performing loan of the bank has decreased.

Himalayan Bank (HBL) has the highest non-performing loan of 7.96 percent in the current FY. Similarly, non-performing loans of Nepal Investment Mega Bank and Prabhu Bank are around 8 percent. The non-performing loan of NIC Asia Bank stands at 7.5 percent.
