Kathmandu. Shangri-La Development Bank has provided financial assistance to the people affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi River on August 24. The bank has deposited Rs 70 lakh in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund to support the search, rescue, relief and long-term rehabilitation and physical reconstruction of the flood-affected people.
Out of this, Rs 50 lakh has been deposited in the fund under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the bank and Rs 20 lakh on behalf of the employees. The cheque was handed over to the Chief Executive Officer of Shangri-La Development Bank, Suyog Shrestha. The cheque was handed over to the Honorable Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.
Shangri-La Development Bank has been providing financial, physical and human assistance in various disasters in the past. The bank has expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members by paying heartfelt tribute to those who lost their lives in this disaster.
The bank currently provides its services through 109 branches and 30 ATMs across the country. Shangri-La Development Bank, which has been following the best practices of corporate governance, risk management and internal control system, pledges to further expand its services in the coming days.
