There was a trend of going abroad in the Terai districts. Especially in the Gulf countries. Lal Chandra Mahato of Mahottari was also suffering from unemployment despite the birth of a daughter after marriage. The financial condition of the house was deplorable. It was hard to connect my hands and mouths. Those who have money will lend money to them. Lalchandra had no money, so he could not find anyone to repay the loan.

He came in contact with Manpower and made a passport and tried to go to Qatar. On his second attempt, he got a work visa, with a salary of Rs 40,000. This was a huge amount of money during the unemployed period.

He handed over his daughter to his wife and started his journey abroad. He left with the blessings and warm love of his daughter, wife and relatives. As soon as he left, he started working. The monthly salary was as promised. He also paid off his debts. Lalchandra was relieved when all the debts were cleared. Over time, the company also increased the salary. He took a small loan and acquired land. Life was taking a new turn.

When the income was getting better, the separated friends also started coming in contact. A friend was working as an agent in a life insurance company. He persuaded Lalchandra to get life insurance. At first, he didn’t care, but later his friend’s words started to seem right. Since Lalchandra was abroad, it was advised to insure his daughter. The proposer of which was Lalchandra and gave life insurance.

Even though he was physically away from his family, life was going on happily. Lalchandra and his wife were happy that income had changed the standard of living and the way society perceived. Ironically, Lal Chandra was seriously injured after falling from the eighth floor in the course of work. The company’s colleagues took him to the nearest hospital in Qatar. The doctor declared him dead on arrival at the hospital.

A Nepali friend called Lalchandra’s mobile phone and informed him about the incident. There was a cry in the house. Lalchandra’s wife had not regained consciousness even when her body reached Mahottari via Kathmandu from Qatar. The cremation was completed and the funeral began. Meanwhile, Lalchandra’s friends, who had insured his daughter’s life, came to the house to offer their condolences.

Expressing his condolences in the midst of grief, Lalchandra’s wife asked for his daughter’s insurance policy. After studying it for a while, he showed some comfort in this time of grief. Now you don’t have to pay your daughter’s insurance premium, but the insurance policy will continue. This is all there and the sum assured and bonus earned at the end of the term of the policy. That’s not enough! “For the bright future of the daughter, the company will provide 2% of the principal sum assured (Rs 1 lakh) every month for the rest of the insurance period,” the agent added. ’

In this way, the life insurance company gave some relief to the financial calamity that might come to the family due to Lalchandra’s tragic death. There was no diminution in the upbringing and education of the younger daughter. No one can see the future. Therefore, like Lalchandra, the future of the family will be secure if you insure life on time. All of us who love our family members should get life insurance today.
