Standard Chartered Bank to increase allowances and facilities of its directors

Kathmandu. Standard Chartered Bank Nepal has decided to increase the allowances and facilities of its directors.

The bank has called its 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to approve a proposal to increase the allowances and perks of its board members. The rally will begin at 10:00 am at the Army Officers Club, Bhadrakali, Kathmandu on December 13.

The meeting will also endorse the amendment to Rule 31 (1) (b) of the Bank Regulations to increase the allowances and facilities of the directors to be presented in the form of a special resolution. The meeting shall also approve another special resolution authorizing the Board of Directors to make any changes received from the regulatory bodies in amending the regulations.

The meeting held the last fiscal year 2081. The company will approve 19 percent cash dividend (including tax) on the current paid-up capital. The meeting will approve the annual and auditor’s report of the previous fiscal year.

Current fiscal year 2082. The meeting will also endorse a proposal regarding the appointment of an auditor and determination of his/her remuneration for Province 83.

The bank has decided to close its book on November 30 for the purpose of dividend and AGM. This means that only the shareholders who have remained in the bank till November 30 will be eligible to receive the dividend and attend the meeting.
