Kathmandu. The price of the dollar has reached a new high again in the Nepali market.
According to the exchange rate determined by the Nepal Rastra Bank, the selling rate of the US dollar was fixed at Rs 142.88 and Rs 143.48 respectively. This is the highest ever. Earlier, the buying rate of the US dollar was Rs 141.78 and the selling rate was Rs 142.38.
The increase in the price of the dollar will have a direct impact on the Nepali market along with the global market. Nepal’s currency has become weakest against the dollar in its history.
If the value of the dollar increases, the country’s trade deficit can increase further. Because Nepal’s imports are more than exports. On the other hand, when the value of the dollar increases, the remittance is beneficial.
