Kathmandu. Banking services required for customs clearance will continue even during the Tihar holidays.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued a circular to the banks and financial institutions of class A, B and C. Based on the letter received from the Department of Customs, the Rastra Bank has directed banks and financial institutions to continue banking services even during the Tihar holidays for the purpose of facilitating trade, maintaining the supply system and maintaining the continuity of service delivery.
On the occasion of Tihar, there will be a holiday from November 22 to November 26. The Nepal Rastra Bank has directed to make arrangements to keep banking services open from the branches of the customs office during this period.
