Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Eighth National General Convention of the Professional Insurance Agents Association of Nepal has unanimously elected a new working committee under the leadership of Om Bahadur Khatri.
The general convention held in Kathmandu on April 27 and 28 elected a new working committee under the chairmanship of Khatri. Khatri was previously the general secretary.
According to the results made public by the Office of the Returning Officer, the general convention has also unanimously elected the senior vice-president, vice-president, general secretary and secretary of the association.
Likewise, Dipak Aryal, Maheshdutta Bhatta, Damodar Gautam, Devi Prasad Sharma Jaishi, Shankar Bahadur Kunwar, Surya Bahadur Bhattarai, Dhurba Giri and Shyam Prasad Bhattarai have been elected as senior vice-presidents. Likewise, Kalyan Bikram Pandey has been elected as general secretary, Basanta Bikram Kunwar and Ambika Gautam as secretaries (open category), Sita Dahal as secretary (women), Nani Maya Sapkota as treasurer (open) and Durga Kumari Bhattarai as joint treasurer (woman).
Likewise, Masti Prasad Jaishi, Gyan Prasad Poudel, Krishna Bahadur Rimal, Ghanashyam Budhathoki, Govinda Prasad Giri, Goman Singh Rawat, Indra Bahadur Thapa, Dipak Kumar Lamichhane, Raju Bhandari, Hari Sharan Shiwakoti, Madan Prasad Yadav, Niraj Kumar Bhatta, Dilli Prasad Gadtaula and Mahendra Prasad Yadav are the members of the working committee.
Among the women members, Raveena K.C. Adhikari, Khuma Kumari Budha, Ganga Kumari Sharma Parajuli, Leela Adhikari, Nanu Maya Khadka, Subhadra Adhikari and Saraswati Gautam are in the post. Other members are Dalit, Janajatis, Adivasi and Arjun Rai and Roshan Yadav from Madhesi quota.
As per the results certified by returning officer Madan Regmi and assistant returning officers Surendra Singh Ayer and Ramhari Regmi, they were declared elected unopposed.
