Oil prices soar after US attacks Iran

Kathmandu. The price of crude oil has jumped after the US attacked Iran again.

The US attack on Iran’s strategic military base in Bandar Abbas. The US Central Command has also claimed that the US military has shot down 4 Iranian drones. The US says the drones were deployed to create terror in the Strait of Hormuz.

Benchmark global crude oil prices rose 3.75 per cent to $97.83 a barrel, while WTI rose 4 per cent to $92.22.

The new attack comes amid reports that Washington and Tehran are negotiating to end the 3-month-long war. Due to this, the concern of increasing the price of oil has increased around the world. –Agency
