Kathmandu. Current fiscal year 2082. In the 11 months of the current fiscal year, micro-life insurance companies have done business of over Rs 1 billion.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) today, three micro life insurance companies have brought in business worth Rs 1.06 billion till mid-May of the current fiscal year. During this period, the number of active insurance policies of these companies stood at 25,07,314.
Guardian Micro Life Ltd was the top gainer in the business during the review period. The company has collected a total premium of Rs 38.21 crore. The company has 15,13,408 active insurance policies.
Similarly, Crest Life Insurance has collected Rs 37.78 crore and Liberty Life has collected Rs 30.45 crore in insurance premiums. These companies have 5,77,705 and 4,16,201 active insurance policies respectively.
