Kathmandu. The government has decided to provide tax concessions, facilities and exemptions to industrialists and businessmen affected by the riots during the Genji movement.
Issuing a notice, the Inland Revenue Department has informed that the industrialists and businessmen affected by the mob riots have been given tax facilities. For this, this facility is being provided as per the decision of the Council of Ministers and the notice published in the Nepal Gazette on September 26.
The government has not allowed a person to do so in the financial year 2082. The government has decided to deduct the amount contributed to the National Reconstruction Fund established by the Government of Nepal in 83 BS so that it can be deducted while calculating the taxable income for that year.
Similarly, the government has provided the facility to the concerned taxpayer himself to take tax deduction as per the Income Tax Act, 2058 BS by informing the concerned Inland Revenue Office on the basis of the assessment of the damaged trade stock of the industries, trade and business establishments affected by the abnormal circumstances created during the Genji agitation.
The department has urged all taxpayers and stakeholders to take advantage of these facilities.
