Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has made it possible for parents to prepare a financial plan for the future of their children and open a bank account in their name to make them understand the importance of savings from an early age.

Such account can be opened in any bank or financial institution on the basis of birth registration certificate and minor identity card. The guardian or guardian of the child has the authority to operate the account until the minor is legally an adult.

After the minor becomes an adult, the account is handed over after the official signature and other details are updated by visiting the bank or financial institution. “Therefore, a minor’s bank account is the first step to secure savings and a bright future,” the notice reads.
