Kathmandu. American tech company Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s signature black leather jacket has been sold for about $ 9.6 million. The jacket was sold for 16 times more than expected price at an auction organised by auction house Sotheby’s.
The jacket was initially expected to sell for $40,000 to $60,000. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to support young innovators in the field of technology and science.
Proceeds from the auction will go to an initiative launched by San Francisco-based venture capital firm Long Journey Ventures, according to Fortune. The initiative supports a non-profit organization called the Edge Institute. The Edge Institute brings together people from technology, science, culture, and society to collaborate on new ideas.
