KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) has sought an explanation from Pravin Raman Parajuli, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Life Insurance Company, for revealing false facts.
The Insurance Authority has sought a response from Parajuli on the issue of misleading information about the insurance business. CEO Parajuli has issued a letter on Wednesday asking him to submit a reply within three days on the issue of misleading data regarding insurance claims made public through the company’s official social media.

According to sources associated with the authority, the authority has been directed to submit a written reply on the issue of false data related to the payment of claims and other claims paid for insurance claims of Rs 122 trillion. After the news was published by Insurance Khabar about Parajuli’s misleading the public by presenting false figures, the authority has been directed to submit a reply.

According to the NRA, if the reply is not satisfied after receiving the reply within the stipulated time, the remaining process of action will be taken as per the provision of the Insurance Act-2079.
