Kathmandu. Most of the services provided by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) remained closed on Wednesday due to the disruption of internet service.
According to the service recipients, there were problems such as no telephone response in the office, the applications entered for approval on the regulatory portal could not be approved.
Although most of the services are online emphasizing the use of information technology, the NEA has been facing problems time and again due to its failure to ensure reliable internet service and regular power supply.
According to the technicians, the authority should ensure the provision of alternative internet along with reliable internet service for the use of information technology. Apart from this, the problem will continue to recur until the power supply is disrupted, the connection of lines from different feeders, generators and battery backups is made.
