After 5 months of the death of CRPF ASI Taresh, new revelations have shocked both the police and the society. It is suspected that Taresh’s wife Divya killed her husband for insurance money. According to family members, the relationship that was supposed to last seven years was broken after a few years due to greed.

Taresh, a resident of Arsikere in Hassan district and serving in the CRPF for 15 years, had married Divya of Channarayapatna four years ago. After marriage, at Divya’s insistence, he bought a new house in Chandra Layout, Bengaluru. Everything was going well until Taresh suddenly disappeared on June 18. His body was found on June 23 at Shiggavi in Haveri district. His wife Divya’s family claimed it was a suicide. However, Taresh’s parents suspected a conspiracy.

The deceased’s father, Basavaraj Ka Divya, had taken out an insurance policy of Rs 3.75 crore just a few months before her husband’s death. “She bought the house with a loan of Rs 30 lakh, but how did she manage to pay Rs 10,000 per month for insurance?” he asked.

The family has now claimed that their son was murdered for the policy money. They have contacted the SP of Haveri outpost and demanded a re-investigation into the case.

According to the FSL report, Taresh died of asphyxiation and a trace of alcohol was also found in his body. The family has called the report “suspicious”. “My son has never drunk,” the father says. ’

The case is now under the custody of the Shigawi DSP. Divya and her brother Dilip are being questioned again.

Haveri SP Yashoda Vantagodi said, “We have received the complaint and investigation is underway. We will go to Bengaluru anytime to collect evidence related to the case. ’

The issue is now a topic of discussion across the state. Did Greed Replace Love? Or was it all a deliberate ploy? The answer will only be known through research.
