xKathmandu. Locals affected by the project said that today, March 24, is the last day of the construction of the Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower Project.
The company had issued the initial public offering (IPO) to the project-affected locals and foreign workers in the first phase from March 10. Locals can apply for the IPO till the banking hours today. Those who are in foreign employment could apply till March 1.
The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has granted permission to the company to issue 4,230,668 units of issued capital i.e. Rs 42,30,66,800 i.e. Rs 100 per unit. Out of this, 12 lakh units of shares worth 10 percent have been issued to the locals of project-affected Bhojpur district. Out of the total number of shares allotted to the general public, 303,067 units were issued for the Nepalese employed abroad.
Applications can be place for minimum 10 units and maximum 1000 units. People can apply for the shares from Prabhu Bank’s Bhojpur, Pauli and Hatuwagadhi branch, Citizens Bank’s Bhojpur branch and Prabhu Capital.
Prabhu Capital has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO issuance of Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower.
