Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is set to issue debentures worth Rs 45 billion on July 30.
KATHMANDU: The central bank of Nepal (NRB) is set to issue ‘Nepal Rastra Bank Debenture 2084 B’ today in a bid to manage excess liquidity in the banking system. The interested investors can apply for the debentures from class ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’.
The debentures will be auctioned till 3:00 pm today. The interest rate of these bonds will be determined through bidding.
It is a one-year bond. The principal will be paid on July 30, 2084 and the interest will be paid half-yearly.
The interested bidders can bid for the debentures up to a minimum of Rs 5 crore and a maximum of Rs 5 crore.
The debentures can be used as collateral in Nepal Rastra Bank and other banks and financial institutions.
