Kathmandu. Explosions were heard in the Saudi capital Riyadh. The incident came days after Saudi authorities announced the resumption of flights from the capital’s King Khalid International Airport on Sunday.

In fact, King Khalid International Airport was closed for two weeks after repeated attacks by the Houthi rebels. FlightRadar, a website that monitors air traffic worldwide, also reported that the plane took off early Sunday morning.

However, Saudi officials have not issued an official statement about the cause of the latest blast in the capital Riyadh.

Meanwhile, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sari warned the airport was “unsafe” and a “military target” for their organization. “Saudi Arabia will be responsible for the consequences of the decision to reopen the airport,” he said. ’

It is noteworthy that the Houthi rebels have targeted the airport several times since the ceasefire was broken. Earlier this month, 13 people were killed and more than 300 were injured in an attack. It has been described as the deadliest attack in Saudi Arabia in a decade. – Agency
