Kathmandu. Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited organized an insurance awareness walkathon with the slogan ‘Insurance: Foundation for a Safer Future’ in Kathmandu this morning. The purpose of this walkathon was to spread awareness among the public about the importance of insurance and the role of insurance in building a “secure future”.
The program started from the company’s central office at Naxal and ended at the central office of the company including Naxal Bhagawati Temple, Nagpokhari, Gairidhara, Police Headquarters, Hilton Hotel, Naxal Bhagawati Temple.
Around 100 employees of the company’s branch offices in the valley actively participated in the walkathon, which is about 4 kilometers long.
On the occasion, the participants were carrying banners and placards with the message “Insurance: Basis for a Safer Future” to raise awareness about the need and benefits of insurance.
According to Chunky Chhetri, CEO of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited, “Public campaigns like this will increase public awareness about insurance, which will make the citizens more informed, responsible and ultimately the nation safer.”
The company has pledged to continue such public awareness activities in the future as well.
