Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed banks to operate essential banking services even during public holidays.
The central bank issued a circular today in the name of banks and financial institutions of classes A, B, C, and D. The circular has directed to make arrangements to resume essential banking services even on public holidays from September 1 to September 6 to facilitate relief distribution and rescue operations for the flood-affected people in Rasuwa and other districts.
The central bank has also directed the concerned authorities to inform about this provision.
