Mars, the global insurance brokerage and risk advisory firm, has become the world’s largest insurance broker with revenues of nearly $27 billion by 2025, according to data from ratings agency AM Best. AM Best’s annual ranking based on 2025 total revenue shows continued growth among the world’s largest insurance brokers.
According to the agency, the theme of the 2025 list was stability. Mars secured the top spot for the 16th year in a row.
Mars grew its revenue by more than $2 billion during the 2025 period. This allowed the company to maintain its long-standing position at the top of the global broker market.
Aeon finished second. Then Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is third and WTW is fourth. All four brokers retained their positions as they did last year.
The biggest change in the top five came from Brown & Brown. According to AM Best, Brown & Brown has moved up two places after increasing its revenue by more than $1 billion to $5.90 billion in 2025. –Agency
