Kathmandu. Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal held a meeting with the chiefs of banks and financial sector regulators at the Ministry of Finance today.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Dr Bishwanath Poudel, Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) Chairman Chandra Kala Poudel and Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha were also present in the meeting. On the occasion, Finance Minister Khanal thanked the regulatory agencies for their role in maintaining macroeconomic stability, creating favourable environment for investment, making capital market transparent and investment-friendly and maintaining fiscal good governance during his tenure as Finance Minister.
On the occasion, chiefs of regulatory bodies reminded that collaboration with Finance Minister has been fruitful and expressed gratitude to Finance Minister for the policy and guidelines adopted by the Ministry of Finance for the development of Nepal’s banks and financial sector and maintaining fiscal discipline.
