Kathmandu. The government has launched the e-pension verification system. With this, retired employees will now be able to avail their pension related services from home.
The Financial Comptroller General has developed this system to automate all the work related to pension management of retired civil servants. The system was launched by Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle here today.
This system has been developed to make government services more simple, accessible, citizen-friendly and technology-friendly. With this, the retired employees (civil, teacher, Nepal Army, Police) can get pension related services from their home by going to pension.com.np and clicking on IPMS-2 button on the website of Pension Management Office. In addition, any query or ambiguity regarding the use of the service can be viewed in the IPMS video tutorial available in the same system.
With the implementation of this system, the requirement for the retired employees to get the verification done by physically attending the bank where they are receiving pension annually has ended. In addition to this, the service recipients have also eliminated the compulsion to visit the Pension Management Office to open a pension account in a bank of their choice.
It is expected that this will make it easier, more economical and more effective for retired employees to avail pension benefits.
