According to Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sari, Yemen’s armed forces carried out three military operations using dozens of ballistic missiles. He claimed that these operations had successfully hit designated targets.

According to Yahya Sari, the first military operation targeted the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. He claimed that the missile attack was successful and reached the intended target.

In their second military operation, the Houthis claimed to have targeted the King Khalid airbase in Khamis Mushait in southwestern Saudi Arabia. According to a Houthi spokesman, the attack targeted fighter jet hangers, ammunition depots, drone control centers and several other important locations in the airbase. Yahya Sari claimed that the missiles hit these locations accurately and directly.

According to the Houthis, the third operation targeted the southern naval base of the Border Guard Force in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan region near the Yemeni border. Yahya Sari claimed that the naval base was correctly targeted and that many Saudi soldiers and officers were killed or wounded in the attack.

It should be noted that Riyadh airport only partially reopened on October 25 due to the attack two weeks ago. Amid security concerns, a partial operation was announced at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. However, this decision was made amid constant threats from the Houthis.

Currently, domestic flights and some international flights operated by national airlines are operating from here. A limited number of flights that normally operate from Riyadh Airport are being diverted to Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport (VTTA) in Qasim.

The U.S. Embassy has also provided information about the situation at other major airports in Saudi Arabia. — Agency
