Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is holding important diplomatic and bilateral meetings on the second day of his visit to India today.
Finance Minister Wagle left for India on Thursday for a three-day visit. On Thursday, he had a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman.
On the second day of his visit, Finance Minister Wagle will participate in various programs on Friday. He will be the chief guest at a high-level diplomatic dialogue program to be organized by former foreign secretary Shyam Saran at 9 am today. He will participate in the high-level diplomatic dialogue to be held at the India International Centre as the chief guest and share his views.
Today, Finance Minister Wagle is scheduled to meet Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. The meeting is scheduled for 5 pm.
Today, Wagle will participate in a mega meeting organized by India Trade Promotion Organisation President Javed Ashraf. The event will be held at Bharat Mandapam where there will be extensive and high-level discussions on various dimensions of Nepal-India economic cooperation.
Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Amrit Lamsal, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gehendra Rajbhandari, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi Dr Surendra Thapa, Economic Minister Taranath Adhikari and Private Undersecretary to the Finance Minister Kanchan Basnet are on a high-level visit to India. On the third day of the visit, the delegation led by the Finance Minister is scheduled to return to Nepal after holding high-level meetings with the private sector and other high-level delegations on Saturday.
