Kathmandu. Ram Jarga Magar was inquisitive from an early age. Although he was born in Okhaldhunga, his father was in the Indian Army. After his father’s retirement, Ram’s family returned to Nepal. Ram was also studying in college. His father, who had brought a good amount of money when he retired from the Indian Army, had the idea of ‘do something’ in Nepal.

Ram’s family from Okhaldhunga was killed to make Pokhara a shelter. After connecting the house and land in the new settlement, he started a hotel business targeting foreign tourists by taking the remaining amount and loan from the bank.

At a time when foreign tourists were increasing in the tourist city of Pokhara and on top of that, in Nepal, the business took a good turn. There were 1-2 months of offseason in a year. The rest of the time was wasted.

Ram used to scold his father from time to time because he would soon make friends and make friends. In the off-season, a friend from Pokhara started saying that he should take life insurance. Ram said he would think about it. I was with the visiting team at Annapurna Base Camp, a friend who needed life insurance. Inquisitive, Ram had a detailed understanding of life insurance and also about the agent profession. Along with life insurance, the profession of an agent attracted him a lot.

After returning from Annapurna Base Camp, I went to the life insurance company’s Pokhara office and got detailed information. He soon trained as an agent and obtained his license. Now they started looking for people to insure. He started with family, relatives, friends.

By the time the hotel season started, he had already enrolled 15 people in life insurance. The responsibility of their financial security was also handed over to the life insurance company. After earning good income from the life insurance agent profession even in the off-season, he decided to take the agent profession along with the hotel business.

By explaining about life insurance, its realistic benefits and financial risk bearing aspects in a practical way, he said that people have taken life insurance. The profession of an agent became his first choice because he could earn as much as he could with his favorable time. They have also taken the hotel business along. Which is also going well.

Due to his success in the life insurance business and the enthusiasm of income, he became the best agent in Gandaki Province. The prestige, respect, name and price that the company received kept its pace going. The next year, he finished third among agents across the country. He succeeded in making everyone known as an exemplary person.

He is also eligible to participate in MDRT, an international forum of agents. He has set up his own agent liaison office in Pokhara. Now, people come to his office looking for him to get life insurance. This scenario did not happen on the same day at the same time. This success is the result of continuous hard work, energy and enthusiasm. That’s why Ram says, “I am a hotelier, but where has time taken us, where has a different identity, different success, and self-respect.” So always salute the agent profession. ’
