Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The printing of smart licenses that have been pending for a long time has been completed.
Issuing a press release on Thursday, the Ministry of Information and Communications said that the Security Printing Center has successfully completed the printing of the remaining 27 lakh units.
The printing work has been completed as per the two-phase agreement signed between the Security Printing Center and the Department of Transport Management. The first phase of the agreement was signed on Kartik 12, 2082 BS and the second phase agreement was signed on April 17, 2083. According to the printing center, the printing of all 27 lakh driving licenses that are yet to be printed under these agreements was completed on Thursday.
According to the press release, the printing work will be completed within 24 hours and handed over to the Department. Every day, around 3,000 to 5,000 driving licenses are being printed as soon as the data of the applicants who have passed the trial and paid the revenue and renewed them is received.
