Kathmandu. With the aim of encouraging innovation and creativity through technology, ‘Orchid HackX 2026’ organized by Orchid International College has concluded in an enthusiastic atmosphere. On the first day of the 48-hour National Hackathon, the registration, orientation and project development phase of the participating teams was formally launched.
Young students and technology enthusiasts selected from all over the country have been preparing to put their innovative ideas into practice from day one. The participants have started exchanging ideas with each other and developing solutions to various problems related to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), open innovation, and information technology.
According to the organizers, the hackathon, which will run continuously for the next 48 hours, will see participants create innovative digital products and technology-based projects that will solve real problems. During this period, collaboration between industry, academic institutions and the technology community will also be prioritized for learning and research.
The college described the atmosphere on the first day as very energetic, creative and competitive. The participants are confident that their enthusiasm and innovative thinking will further strengthen the culture of innovation in Nepal.
Meanwhile, Orchid International College is also open for admission to various educational programs in Information Technology and Management. The college runs B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence (AI), BIT, BSc CSIT, BCA, BITM, BBM, BBA, MBA, BSW and BA in Psychology.
The college has been adopting a modern teaching system with the goal of producing skilled manpower in the fields of cutting-edge technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, Data Science, Computer Vision, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, etc.
The college, located in Gaushala, Kathmandu, has urged interested students to apply for the relevant academic programs on time. Through HackX 2026, it is expected to contribute to building an innovation-oriented society by inspiring Nepali youth to develop solutions to national and international level technological challenges.
