Kathmandu. The stock market rose on Thursday. The NEPSE index increased by 8.78 points to close at 2661.71.
With the rise in the market, 5 sub-groups of NEPSE sub-group increased while 8 sub-groups decreased. On the day, the banking group increased the most by 2.04 percent while the production and processing group fell the most by 0.86 percent.
Shares of 108 companies rose and 152 companies declined. Shares of 13 companies remained stable on the day.
On this day, the market was traded at Rs 4.11 billion. Laxmi Sunrise Bank was the top trader in the market. Four debentures were traded in the top 10 today.
