Kathmandu. Tehrathum Power Company is going to invest in North Summit Hydro.
A meeting of the Board of Directors of the company held today decided to invest in North Summit Hydro. Earlier, the company’s eighth annual general meeting had proposed to invest in North Summit Hydro.
Terhathum Power will invest a total of 1 lakh units of shares of North Summit Hydro at a face value of Rs 100. North Summit is the promoter of the Nyadi Fidi Hydropower Project under construction at Bahunanda and Bhulbhule of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality in Lamjung district.
The project has a capacity of 21.4 MW. The project is expected to start commercial production from November 2027. The company has already acquired permission from the Department of Electricity Development for the project.
Tehrathum Power is investing in the company from its investable reserves. According to Terhathum Power, North Summit Hydro is comparatively better in terms of budget.
