Kathmandu. The Ora 5 EV, a premium electric SUV under the global automobile brand GWM (Great Wall Motor), has been launched in the Nepalese market. The vehicle was unveiled amidst a special ceremony held at The Plaza in Kathmandu.
After China and Thailand, Nepal has been chosen as one of the key markets for the international expansion of the Ora 5 EV. Based on the concept of ‘Designed with Intelligence, Shaped by Elegance’, this vehicle incorporates modern technology, attractive design, high safety standards and premium features. The company believes that the model will add a new dimension in the Nepali electric vehicle market.
VG Impex Pvt. Ltd., the authorized importer of GWM in Nepal, has launched the ORA 5 EV considering the needs of Nepali customers, road condition and modern lifestyle. According to the company, this vehicle will provide safe, smart and sustainable mobility experience.
The Ora 5 EV is available in two variants. According to the company, the mid-range variant is priced at Rs 46.99 lakh and the top variant is priced at Rs 51.99 lakh.
One of the key features of the vehicle comes with a maximum driving range of 520 km on a single full charge. It features 200mm ground clearance, panoramic moonroof, premium seats, 360-degree surround view camera, 180-degree chassis view camera, self-healing paint technology, etc.
In terms of safety, the Ora 5 EV has received a 5-star ANCAP and a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. The vehicle is equipped with more than 25 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, 33 luggage storage spaces and traffic sign recognition.
