KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has issued a financial awareness notice to the public to use only the SIM card registered in one’s name and official application while using the financial services through mobile. The mobile banking, internet banking, and wallets provided by the payment service providers provided by the banks and financial institutions are linked to the mobile number or e-mail you registered. In which important details related to your account are attached,” the notice said, “Therefore, in case of any change in your mobile number or email address, you should inform the concerned financial service provider.” ’
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has said that if you do not inform the concerned financial service provider about the loss, theft or change of your mobile phone, there is a risk of unauthorized access to important details related to your account. “Therefore, if you change your mobile number for any reason, inform the concerned financial service provider as soon as possible and keep your important financial details safe,” the NRB has said.
