Kathmandu. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has held discussions and interactions with stakeholders on the draft of the National Action Plan for Preparedness, Preparedness and Rapid Response to Extreme Heat or Heat Waves, 2083.
Representatives from concerned ministries, departments, security agencies, government bodies and support bodies of thematic areas, Nepal Scouts, media persons and others participated in the program.
The participants stressed on the need of working by making a short-term and long-term plan to solve the problems that might occur due to extreme heat and heat waves.
Similarly, the participants have suggested to make arrangements to keep water in earthen pots at various places, utilize local knowledge and even make plans to close schools depending on the situation during the wave of hot winds.
