Kathmandu. Shikhar Insurance Company has called its 21st Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The meeting of the Board of Directors of the company held on Friday decided to hold the meeting on January 29. The meeting will begin at 11:00 am at the company’s central office located at Shikhar Biz Centre, Thapathali, Kathmandu.
The meeting held the last fiscal year 2081. The company will approve a total dividend of 6.3158% of the current paid-up capital proposed for the company. This includes 6 percent bonus shares and 0.3158 percent cash dividend for tax purposes.
The meeting shall also pass a special resolution authorizing the Board of Directors to make any suggestions or directives from the regulatory body while amending the Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association of the Company. The meeting will elect 2 directors from the general public. The AGM will endorse the decision of the AGM to appoint Ashmank Karki to the post of director following the resignation of Dinesh Braj Bajracharya from the general public.
The meeting approved the annual and auditor’s report of the last fiscal year and the current fiscal year 2082. 83. Approve the proposal relating to the appointment of the auditor and the determination of his/her remuneration.
The company has decided to close the book from December 28 till the conclusion of the AGM. This means that only the shareholders who have been in the company before December 28 will be eligible to receive the dividend and participate in the meeting.
