Kathmandu. Glocal Aft School has announced a week-long campaign ‘Skill Week 2026’ aimed at promoting skill development, creativity and youth empowerment. The event will be held from January 11 to 19, 2026 through workshops, hands-on learning, competitions, exhibitions and youth-focused programs.
The main attraction of the event will be the ‘Fest Day’ on January 16 and the closing ceremony on January 19.
What is Skill Week 2026

Inspired by Glocal Aft School’s renowned skill-based ecosystem, the program is “a week filled with events, creativity, skills, inspiration and insights”. Its main objective is to encourage young people to learn and develop essential life and vocational skills by mixing education with entertainment.
From do-it-yourself exercises to interactive sessions, Skills Week provides a common platform for youth, teachers, professionals and organizations to celebrate the value of skills. Skills Week 2026 aims to bridge the gap between traditional education and practical skills.
According to Ashish Thakur, President, Glocal Aft School, “Skill Week is not just an event but a campaign. Our goal is to create a space for young people to learn, experiment, and unleash their potential to the world. Glocal Aft School is a pioneering learning platform working to enhance the capabilities of young people through skill-based education, training and experiential learning.
This year’s Skills Week is being conducted by Embark College. The strategic partners of the program include the Embassy of India, the European Union, and the Australian government. The other partners are Honda, Insure, Biosphere Global, Merozhub, Agrima Academy, Nepal SBI Bank (Banking Partner), WorldLink (Internet Partner), Yeti Airlines (Airline Partner), The Kathmandu Post and Prisma Advertising (Media Partner).
