Kathmandu. The government has appointed a public food analyst.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has appointed 27 people as food analysts. According to the Ministry, senior food research officers have been appointed as public food analysts as per the Food Hygiene and Quality Act, 2081 BS.
A notice to this effect was published in the Nepal Gazette on Thursday. According to the Ministry, food analysts have been appointed at the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control and its subordinate offices.
Deputy Director General of the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control Mahipal Ram Baidya along with senior food research officers Pramod Koirala, Dr Huma Kumari Bakhim, Mohan Krishna Maharjan, Krishna Prasad Rai, Kamal Prasad Regmi, Shiva Sagar Chaudhary, Nawaraj Dahal, Bimal Kumar Dahal, Dr Kshitij Shrestha, Bhim Prasad Pulami, Suman Dhital, Jyotsna Shrestha, Anup Halwai, Bal Kumari Sharma, Ramesh Khadka, Hareram Pradhan, Kashinath Ghimire, Prashant Pokharel, Pratima Shrestha, Ranjan, Nepal. Pushpa Lal Rai, Rabindra Jha, Ishwor Subedi, Bimala Pokharel and Bijan Shrestha have been appointed as food analysts.
