Employees of Sebon have been protesting for about one and a half months over the reduction of facilities by the Ministry of Finance. The employees have been protesting since the Ministry of Finance wrote a letter to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) on September 2. The employees of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) have demanded that the revenue secretary-level decision to scrap the working procedure issued by the Board of Directors of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) should be revoked immediately.

According to Dhungana, the agreement was reached during a meeting with Joint Secretaries Uttar Kumar Khatri and Mahesh Acharya at the Ministry of Finance today. “We also held discussions with Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal yesterday and he is positive about addressing our demands,” he said, adding, “Therefore, the work of Sebon will be regular from tomorrow.” However, if our demands are not met within the stipulated time, we will have no option but to resort to agitation again. ’

Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha said that the agitation employees have not been able to take much initiative on the issue. “It seems that the ministry is preparing to initiate the process to take action against him,” he said.
