Kathmandu. Current fiscal year 2082. In the first three months of 2018, goods worth Rs 73 billion were exported from the country.
According to the data released by the Department of Customs, goods worth Rs 72.78 billion were exported from Nepal in the current fiscal year. This was the previous year 2081. This is 89.64 percent more than 82 percent. The country had exported goods worth Rs 38.37 billion till mid-September of the previous year.
Likewise, goods worth Rs 468.08 billion were imported from other countries in the review period. In the same period of the previous year, goods worth Rs 390.75 billion were imported. Compared to the previous year, imports decreased by 19.97 percent in the review period.
The country’s trade deficit has reached Rs 395.30 billion till mid-September of the current fiscal year. The country’s trade deficit was Rs 352.37 billion till mid-September last year. Compared to the previous year, the trade deficit increased by 12.18 percent in the review period.
The country’s international trade stood at Rs 540.86 billion in the review period. In the same period of the previous period, the international trade was worth Rs 429.13 billion. In comparison to the previous year, international trade increased by 26.04 percent in the review period.
The country’s import-export ratio stood at 6.43 percent in the review period. The import-export ratio in the same period of the previous year was 10.18 percent. The import-export ratio has decreased by 36.83 percent.
