Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has reminded the listed companies to pay the annual renewal fee for their securities.
NEPSE has issued a notice for the second time today. It has asked listed companies to pay the annual renewal fee of securities for 83 years. Earlier, NEPSE had issued a notice on September 23 requesting the government to pay the renewal fee by mid-October.
Failure to pay the renewal fee within the stipulated time will result in a penalty of 10 percent of the annual renewal fee and the listing can be suspended as per Regulation 16 of the Securities Listing Bylaw, 2075.
How much does anyone have to pay the annual renewal fee?
As per the regulation, companies with a paid-up capital of up to Rs 500 million have to pay Rs 50,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively.
Similarly, debentures and mutual funds have to pay Rs 25,000 if the paid-up capital is up to Rs 50 crore, and Rs 50,000 if it is above Rs 50 crore.
