Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has urged the general public to take precaution while travelling due to rise in the water level in the river due to incessant rain that began on Wednesday night.
The Department cautioned one and all to observe precaution as the water level in the rivers flowing through Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces has increased at risk of flood.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Authority, there are high chances of flash floods in the rivers flowing through Kathmandu, Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Rasuwa, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Sankhuwasabha, Taplejung, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Bara, Parsa, Sarlahi, Rautahat and surrounding districts of Madhesh Province.
