Kathmandu. 20 lawmakers of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have resigned en masse.
Issuing a joint statement, the lawmakers of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) said that the relevance of the incumbent government has completely ended. The statement demanded that the RSP should immediately resign from the post of Prime Minister and form a high-level judicial probe commission to investigate the incidents that took place during the Jenji agitation.
They have also demanded the formation of an all-party civil government, the dismissal of the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, the Minister for Information and Information and the Chief District Officer of Kathmandu District and stern action against all the culprits. The RSP has demanded initiation of the constitution amendment process.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has condemned the government’s brutal repression of dozens of youths during a demonstration organized by Nepal’s Generation Genji since Monday against rampant corruption, disregard for rule of law, brutal political practices and snatching freedom of expression through the shutdown of social media. “We strongly condemn the massacre committed by the government in the first phase of the peaceful democratic movement carried out by unarmed youths and warn that the people will no longer tolerate any attempt to prolong the misrule by soaking in the blood of their own children.
Concluding that the incumbent federal parliament has lost legitimacy due to its inability to find a solution to any national issue, the parliamentary party has proposed the formation of an interim civilian government at the earliest for a way out. It has been reported.
