Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank The process of printing new notes of Rs 1,000 has been initiated.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) today invited international bids. Companies interested in printing new Rs 1,000 notes have been requested. The central bank will print 430 million new notes.
Interested companies will have to submit the bid proposal by October 9. The bid has to be submitted to the Rastra Bank’s Thapathal-based Banking Department.
Eligible companies will have to deposit Rs 20,000 or $144 or 123 euros or 107 pounds while submitting the proposal. The companies selected by the Rastra Bank will have to work on the design, printing and supply of notes.
