Rs 1.99 billion allocated for national employment promotion programme

Kathmandu. The government has allocated Rs 1.99 billion for the national employment promotion programme.

Presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year in the joint sitting of the Parliament today, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel informed about the budget allocation. “Skills and skills of the young manpower will be developed as per the demands of the labour market to solve the unemployment problem in a sustainable manner,” he said.

Poudel also informed that the employment portal would be launched to update the details of skilled human resources in search of employment and connect them to the labor market. “Employment fairs will be organized in all the provinces in collaboration with the umbrella organizations of the private sector,” he said.

Finance Minister Poudel said that the labour destination would be diversified to make foreign employment safe, dignified and productive. “Bilateral labour agreements will be signed with more countries through labour diplomacy,” he said.
