Kathmandu. World Investor Week 2026, which is celebrated all over the world from October 5 to 11 every year, has also started in Biratnagar with various programs.
The rally was organized by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) and coordinated by Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi Province, from the Shaheed Stadium in Biratnagar at 7 am on Monday. The rally started from the Shahid Stadium and ended through various areas of Biratnagar Bazaar.
During the program, the participants disseminated awareness messages about conscious and safe investments, importance of long-term investments, risk assessment and reasonable returns. The organizers emphasized that while investing, one should pay attention to the long-term objective, risk situation and potential returns rather than the short-term gains.
Speaking at the program, Chief of Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi Province, Rajendra Maharjan said that although there are various investment options available in the market, insurance is an effective means of transferring financial risk along with disciplined investment.
He said that insurance would also provide protection against the potential financial risks in the future and also play a significant role in developing a culture of saving and investing in a regular and disciplined manner.
On the occasion, Mayor Maharjan informed that the Insurance Authority, Koshi Province will be conducting various interactions, discussions and public awareness programs with colleges, local levels and other stakeholders throughout the week.
The morning rally was attended by central representatives of Securities Board of Nepal, officials and employees of Beema Authority, representatives and employees of insurance companies, employees of financial institutions and various stakeholders.
The World Investor Week, organized with the theme of ‘Conscious Investment, Secure Future’, is expected to contribute significantly to the development of a culture of safe, responsible and long-term investment by raising financial and investment awareness among the general public.
