Kathmandu. Insurance claims of more than Rs 26 billion have been made in the devastating Rasuwa floods.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, the floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishul rivers have caused damage to insured property worth Rs 25.87 billion. A total of 583 claims have been filed.
The highest number of claims have been made in Orient Insurance. The company has to pay Rs 13.03 billion for eight insurance claims.
Similarly, the second highest number of claims have been made by United Ajod Insurance. The company has to pay Rs 4.97 billion for 38 claims.
In the third place, Sanima GIC Insurance has the highest number of claims. The company has to pay Rs 2.10 billion for 102 claims.
