Kathmandu and the Nepal Insurance Authority have directed foreign reinsurance brokers to establish offices in Nepal. As per the Insurance Reinsurance Directive, 2080, foreign reinsurance brokers who have not yet established an office have been instructed to establish an office within three months today.
The Insurance Reinsurance Directive, 2080, stipulates that reinsurance brokers who are listed with the Authority and have received a listing number must establish a joint venture company, branch or liaison office in Nepal within six months.
