Kathmandu. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has announced a hike in prices of its vehicles. The company has said that it will increase the prices of select car models by up to Rs 20,000 from September.
This is Maruti’s third price hike in four months starting in May. The company has said that this move is due to the rising cost of raw materials and rising prices. However, the company has not yet clarified the exact amount of price increase of each model. Maruti achieved record sales of 2.19 lakh vehicles last month.
Maruti Suzuki has said that the prices and prices of materials used in vehicle manufacturing (such as steel, metal, etc.) are continuously increasing. For the past few months, the company has been bearing the burden of these increased costs and has been trying not to increase the prices.
However, due to the significant increase in costs, it has become difficult for the company to sell the vehicle at the old price. Therefore, a small part of the increased expenses have been passed on to the customers by increasing the price. This does not affect the customer’s pocket much. – Agency
