Kathmandu. The Upper Machhakhola Small Hydropower Project, which was closed due to floods, has resumed. The massive flood in the Budhi Gandaki River on October 10 had damaged the transmission line of the Upper Machhakhola Small Hydropower Project of 4.55 MW capacity operated by Bikash Hydropower Company Limited. Due to this, the closed project has come into operation.
According to the company, the project resumed at 11:08 am on October 22 after the completion of the maintenance of the transmission line. The company has also started generating electricity and commercial business from the project.
